New York City has officially crossed a major gambling milestone: Resorts World New York City in Queens has launched live table games, making it the city’s first full-fledged casino floor.

The property, which had operated as a slot-focused venue for years, now offers more than 200 live dealer tables alongside its existing slot lineup. The opening took place on April 28, 2026, next to Aqueduct Racetrack and near JFK Airport.

The debut is more than a ribbon-cutting moment. Resorts World’s expansion brought a large hiring push, with about 1,250 new jobs tied to the project, including roughly 950 dealer roles.
