Expansions and new collaborations across the US, Germany, and the Netherlands by Barstool, Rootz, and Pragmatic Play, in this week’s industry news.
After a year-long delay, the 23rd of November marked the launch of the mobile betting industry in the state of Maryland. Meanwhile, PENN Entertainment also announced the launch of its Barstool sportsbook in the state.
The recent launch delivers special promotions and various betting options for bettors. Customers in the state can now bet on leading sports leagues worldwide with the sports betting product.
The betting options offered by the online sportsbook include but are not limited to straight bets, cross-sport parlays, in-game wagering, and props. The sportsbook provides daily odds boosts aside from other special promotions, enhancing the overall experience for sports bettors.
Barstool revealed various special promotions for new players, with one awarding new users up to $1000 in bonus cash if their first wager loses. Moreover, Barstool offers a $100 bonus to new users wagering $1 or more.
The sportsbook unveiled yet another special promotion in the spirit of Thanksgiving, aptly named the Big Gobble. The promotion offers a custom Overs Club Jacket to users wagering $100 or more on the “over” of the over/under line for combined points between all 3 NFL Thanksgiving matchups. The condition to win the jacket is that the “over” must hit.
Benji Levy, head of PENN Interactive, stated that they (the team) look forward to introducing their sports betting experience and serving the state’s fans with a superior technology-driven product. He revealed that the company looks forward to seeing its sportsbook make it into Maryland’s regulated online betting market.
Elsewhere, Apparat Gaming, a company dedicated to developing games with a “German Accent”, has signed a new content tie-up deal with Rootz, a prominent casino company. As a result of this deal, gamblers at Rootz will be able to play Apparat’s award-winning online casino games.
Rootz will distribute these games through its casinos. The most famous of these casinos include Wildz Casino and Wheelz Casino. Rootz has recently obtained its tenth license to provide online gaming services in Germany–a well-regulated European market.
Owing to the recent inclusion of Apparat Gaming titles, Rootz anticipates long-term success in its German venture. Apparat Gaming is already popular among local gamblers, giving Rootz an extra boost.
In other partnership news, leading content provider Pragmatic Play has further expanded its reach in the Dutch market via its recent contract with LiveScore Bet.
LiveScore Bet will now access the game developer’s award-winning slot games vertical, including newer hits such as Aztec Blaze and John Hunter and the Book of Tut Respin. The agreement will also include classics from the developer, such as Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus.
Pragmatic Play COO Irina Cornides stated that the company is eager to begin working next to LiveScore Bet and looks forward to growing its relationship with the operator in the long term.
She added that offering Pragmatic Play’s high-grade slots portfolio to operators internationally is essential to the company’s continued development.
